Copy/Paste

Like offline access and printing, the eReader offers a Copy/Paste option. Also like offline access and printing, it is only available if the eBook has a Copy/Paste allowance.

Checking Your eBook’s Copy/Paste Allowance

Not all publishers include a copy/paste allowance for all books. To help, the product details page notifies you if your book has copy/paste capabilities.

To check your eBook's copy/paste allowance, navigate to your Shelf. Select the product in question to review the details.

Locate the Copy/Paste label with the clipboard icon to see the percentage you can copy and paste.

If you don’t see the clipboard icon, the publisher does not offer the copy/paste option for the particular title.

Copying & Pasting from Your eBook

If your eBook has a copy/paste allowance, the process begins the same as highlighting! Click (or tap and hold your finger if you're using a touchscreen device), then drag over the words you'd like to copy.

In the task box that appears, click Copy.

Copying cannot be undone. To notify you, the eReader presents a preview of the text to confirm you'd like to go through with the process. Click Confirm when you're sure!

Select Copy to Clipboard to copy the selected text onto your computer’s clipboard.

From there, paste the text into the document of your choice.

Reviewing Copied Content

With our Copy/Paste feature, you can review your copied content or copy it again. Select the sidebar menu icon and click Copied Content from the menu to review it.

You can also remove the gray lines that show what you've already copied. Toggle the Show Copied Content indicator located in the Copied Content dropdown menu.
