What is Equitable or Inclusive Access?

Equitable or Inclusive Access programs enable colleges and universities to deliver some or all course materials, as part of tuition or course charges.  These programs transform the way course materials are delivered, ensuring all students have what they need on the first day of class, stress-free, affordably, and effortlessly. This levels the playing field for all students and empowers them for academic success, regardless of economic background or social status.  The primary method in which digital materials are delivered to students within these programs is via the BryteWave platform.  These programs may be referred to by campuses using several different names such as Follett ACCESS, IncludED, Day One, DEI, etc. 

Inclusive Access

Inclusive Access is a ‘by course’ course materials acquisitions model where students enrolled in a particular section or course are provided with their required course materials on or before the first day of class.

Equitable Access

Equitable Access is a ‘whole campus’ course materials acquisitions model where every student in every section of every course across the entire campus is provided with their required course materials on or before the first day of class.
